Winter Storm II
On Feb 16th, Chicago was hit with a pile of snow overnight ... and I decided that it was a good time to go out and take some photos.
My first shots are going for the "winter wonderland" vibe. Trying to capture the sheer volume of snow falling.
Then I realized that there was another person out roaming around. It was 2am, and at 2am - in the middle of snow storm - anyone out wandering aimlessly is either a photographer or a serial killer. This guy had no camera. So I watched him long enough to make sure he thought that I was the serial killer.
Finally able to focus on some details, I headed to Kinzie Bridge and Kinzie Railroad Bridge because its always a good place for lines and textures. I've never captured them like this before, with pillowy snow adding yet another texture.
