I eventually ventured all the way over to the lake.
I never venture to the lake.
Mostly because that means cutting through a few annoying tourist zones which gives me just enough of an excuse to find another direction.
But hey - pandemic! No tourists.
On my way home from the lakefront visit, the light was still interesting.
I so rarely shoot facing west from so far to the east that everything felt 'new' - like waking up and tripping over stuff the morning after you've rearranged all of your furniture.
Typically I'm finding scenes about a mile down river so things felt kinda odd. It's like it wasn't 'my Chicago river'. It also doesn't hurt that every time I make the walk there always seems to be a new building that has been added to the mix.
Thank you so much for viewing!
